In “Get On Up” (James Brown biopic on Netflix) Actor Chadwick Boseman who portrayed the “Hardest working man in show business.” Stated, “You have a show and You have a business. That’s why it’s called show business.”

And….yes! My lovely people. The fashion industry is a “Show Business.”

Many designers on every level participate in fashion shows year round. In most cases, especially on larger levels designers/brands use fashion shows as a way to market their product to buyers and customers.

On other levels, it’s just a show. Most of the time everyone makes money except for the designer.

As fashion houses, brands, designers, etc. We are charged with the responsibility of making our businesses profitable.
