Alma

Baby! It’s snowing outside! Kinda…and I’m standing here with a glass of champagne watching the snow fall. Nothing more refreshing than the winter air.

Burrrrrrr………

January is my month for planning and I wasn’t going to blog. Then I decided that a blog post would be needed to jumpstart the year. I asked myself, “What are you going to blog about? What are you going to name it?” I thought about the champagne I’d purchased, Alma.

Here’s a funny story. Many years ago when I was a fit model for a showroom, I remember asking my Grandmother (Alma Lee) if she would consider working backstage at the shows. She said, “Honey, I did that in the 50’s.” We both looked at each other and laughed.

Vintage Fashion Show

At past fashion shows I would add vintage attire to feature in certain segments. So, I thought why not blog about vintage?

Extravagant English Fashion Show with Aristocrat’s

I own a large collection of vintage attire that I love to refer to as “my antiques.” 1950’s & 1960’s periods are my favorites because of its classy style and structure of garments. Women during that time went to seamstresses for their attire. Most garments were made to fit a lady’s specific measurements.

Also, I own a large collection of vintage sewing patterns. Some date back to the 1930’s!

Below are photos of french designer Guy Laroche vintage garments. Luckily, his brand still exists today.

Enjoy!
