June is going to be a fun month for GQC. Many events are happening around the city. So I thought, Why not take advantage of the opportunity to network? Typically, I go solo to events. Why? Is because I can work a room faster. Plus, it’s always a production to prepare and get ready for these events. From outfit choices to transportation. Uber has become a go to. Driving in ATL traffic can be stressful and I want enjoy meeting new people.
Over the past 20 years, I have come into contact with various social networks here in Atlanta from the party scene to politics. And, with the creative scene growing here in Atlanta fueled by an established arts community. Many new opportunities are coming to the city. Fashion forward would you say? Maybe……
Rent The Runway (RTR) held a pop up event here and it gave off very NYC fashion vibe. I was definitely “in my element.” I tried on various dresses for upcoming events. On a breezy black berry winter day. The setting gave off a soft, spring cosmopolitan atmosphere. A beautiful skyline with pastels and N.Y. style house music, I was in fashion heaven!
Pookie and Jett entered the room for a Q&A session, and I will say that I was pleasantly surprised. Despite the technical difficulties, they handled themselves very gracefully. This well put together couple set the standard for “couple goals.”
I definitely walked away encouraged to set new goals and standards both personally and professionally. So, who knows what the future holds?……
Below, is a video to give you all a tidbit of the Q&A by Pookie and Jett. Enjoy!
Reminder that June 9th there will be a GQC pop up!
