Growing up in a family of music lovers, I’ve gained a real appreciation for listening to different tunes. Especially, singing in a choir with professional musicians that rocked the church. Music saved my life when going through the toughest times of my adulthood. I’ve turned poems into songs. I’ve even had music produced from one of those songs. How cool?
MS. LANITA JO FOX (GOLD N FOX)

This month I was invited to attend The Radio and Records Awards honoring lifetime recipient Ms. Lanita Jo Fox.
Lanita and I have worked on various movie sets together as I like to refer to her as my “Set Mother.” One time she shocked me by asking to sing Happy Birthday to one of her friends. It’s funny because I thought, “I know that I sung in the choir as a child but, I am not a singer!” Lol. Super cool!
We also share a passion for fashion. Lanita is a mature model who has graced many runways. Her dress for the evening was custom designed by an international designer from Ohio. What a blessing it’s been to get to know a person as remarkable as Ms. Fox. She is so remarkable that the City of Atlanta presented a proclamation honoring Ms. Fox for her achievements.
How amazing!

THE AWARDS SHOW

Sunday evening was filled with excitement as some of Atlanta’s best were presented with awards for their work in radio, music, and community. As well as entertainers from different parts of the U.S. representing various genre’s ranging from Gospel, Blues, and R&B. Atlanta has a rich history in entertainment. Multiple artists started their careers here to later become international stars. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting music artists, Super Star Lord and The Buckhead Boyz.
Honorary awards were also given to Ambassador Young, Elgin Bell, and Sylvia Robinson (Keisha Lance Bottoms) and Larry Tinsley. Just to name a few. Legendary radio host Ryan Cameron was in the room along with other big names in radio.

FASHION
Everyone came dress to impress and you all know that I had to show out with my outfit! Lol. Trust me…… it was a production. It took two months to put the look together! My jumpsuit is from Malandra Boutique located in Las Vegas, NV. Shoes & Accessories are from my styling wardrobe. The wig I purchased at Rebel Gypsy. Faith Hanson at Woodhouse Spa had my pedi looking luxurious.

We never know where life will take us. Who we are going to meet. Or, how it’s going to end. At the end of the day it’s our responsibility to live it and enjoy!
Be Blessed !
