I’m Worthy……. Pt. 1

September is my birthday month and this year I am 45! I can’t believe that I’ve reached my mid forties. For my birthday I wanted to do something different to celebrate. I test drove a Tesla Model 3 because I’m in need of a another vehicle. So I thought, Why not? When I stepped into the car, I felt sexy. In classic Valarie style, I got out and took pictures. Already, I have come up with three names for my Tesla when purchased. The choices are: Roxy, Roxanne, or Maybelline……

I love my Cadillac (Sassy), however for months I’ve been considering switching from motor to electric and Tesla is my car of choice. Last sunday morning, I had the pleasure of driving a Tesla for the first time. My experience was fun and somewhat adventurous because of all the features the car offers. Honestly, it was easy for me to learn. The set up is like having a computer/cell phone on the dash that is centered around your daily needs. At this stage in life, I need everything that can help make my daily routine less stressful. Let’s not forget about the driving experience. The car requires less manual operating and more safety high tech features such as a surround camera system. Which I totally love! When I like something, I buy it! Why not have what I want for my birthday? I’m worthy of it.

Here’s a cool fact about electric cars. In my most recent research on electric vehicles, I’ve discovered that this type of vehicle has existed for quit some time…… The first electric vehicle dates back to 1832. It wasn’t until the 1870’s and 1880’s that practical electric cars emerged.

The Detroit Electric was the best known and longest lived American electric car company. Interesting fact is that Clara Ford (Henry Ford Wife) car of choice was the Detroit Electric.

Now in modern day, history has repeated itself and hopefully we can see more electric vehicles on the road. It’s good for the environment and daily commuting. Enough about that, let’s talk about some fashion…..

I’m Worthy Pt. 2 will feature some redesigned manufactured dresses modeled by me. As well as a special birthday trip to Nashville! On my way, I started reading a book that my brother gave as a gift called, “A Woman Makes a Plan: Advice for a Lifetime of Adventure, Beauty, and Success” by Maye Musk. I’ve been following her on Instagram and I’m inspired! After reading the book, I can go into a little more details in the next blog.

There’s has definently been a shift in my mindset since entering my mid-forties. I’ve worked incredible hard for my position in life and everything I’ve accomplished. It was not easy, but more rewarding than I’ve ever imagined. When I was a teen, I came up with a plan for my adulthood. I presented it to God and asked him to show me his plan for my life. Wow! He’s granted me things I’ve wanted and more! Far beyond my imagination. Upgrading does not have to be flashy or super expensive, it’s all in your mindset.
